Bossier Office of Community Services’ Low-Income Home Energy Assistance (LIHEAP) program assists eligible families of Bossier and Morehouse parishes meet the costs of heating and cooling their residences. Through this program, clients are able to increase their self-sufficiency and reduce the vulnerability that can result from high home energy burdens.
The targeted populations for the LIHEAP program are low-income households, especially those with the lowest incomes and the highest home energy costs, or needs in relations to income, taking into account family size. Additional targets are low-income households with members who are especially vulnerable (i.e. elderly persons, persons with disabilities and young children).
Persons interested in receiving further information about LIHEAP should contact LIHEAP Coordinator, Dorothy Jefferson at (318) 747-1045 or email at djefferson@bocs.org. |
